SMART FARMING ACADEMY

Growing smarter, how do you do it? The Smart Farming Academy is a training program in which farmers develop new knowledge about precision farming. You learn how to grow efficiently and effectively with minimal impact on the environment and maximum economic return. Think for example about the use of GPS, robots, agricultural machinery and sensors on the ground or from the air.

The program is interactive and consists of a mix of online webinars, e-learning and hands-on days. Using the four seasons as a basis, participants learn how to apply precision agriculture on their own.

FIELDLABS.

VDBorne Campus offers various testing facilities in the form of field labs. These are innovation centers for precision agriculture in the field. Thanks in part to these fieldlabs, the adoption and application of precision agriculture in the Netherlands and beyond will be accelerated. The benefits of precision agriculture can also be utilized on a larger scale. However, for now, adoption is not going fast enough and is still too limited. As a result, more applied knowledge, research and innovation is needed. This is being realized in the practice center.
